VÁRÓTEREM PROJEKT
Magical Deer
and the gravity
Four Hungarians from Romania currently based in Budapest, Hungary decided to read the epic poem, John the Valiant (one of the most known pieces of Hungarian literature) and make a performance based on it. Integration, migration, the sense of home are the main keywords that resonate with them, John the Valiant never appears but its story constantly vibrates in the background and between the lines. This is a showcase of artists who – due to cultural differences, livelihood issues or simply a need for new stimuli – have left their homes to progress personally and artistically.
What is home? And what does it mean to arrive?
