Sándor Baumgartner receives the UNITER award
At this year’s UNITER gala, the lighting designer of the Tamási Áron Theatre’s production of The Tempest, directed by Viktor Bodó, Sándor Baumgartner was awarded the most prestigious prize of the Romanian theatre profession in the light design category. Congratulations to him and we hope to work together again!
At the same time, we congratulate all the UNITER award winners, especially those colleagues with whom we have a closer professional and human relationship: István Albu, for the Best Director Award (Richard III), the Harag György Company of the Northern Theatre of Satu Mare for the Best Performance Award (Richard III), and the Special Award of the D-Butan-T Festival, organised by the Andrei Mureşanu Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Other awards related to Sfântu Gheorghe include the UNITER lifetime achievement award for set and costume designer Mihaiu Horaţiu, manager of the Andrei Mureşanu Theatre from 2004-2007 to 2010-2013, and the “Ion Caramitru” Award of Excellence for the ATELIER International Theatre Arts Festival, which started in Sfântu Gheorghe and has been running for twelve years.
