Sumo

Sumo is a ceremonial sport with a history dating back over a century. It is a ritual struggle performed in honor of the Shinto gods. Victory is an honour; the judges’ decision is final and infallible. Do you know what it’s like to be a champion? Can you relate to it? No? That’s great. Neither can we! Yet that’s what the performance is about. And a little bit about life. And death. And theatre (?). There’s nothing to be done; the director was interested in it.
