Funny Money on New Year’s Eve
We close this year with a premiere of Ray Cooney’s Funny Money in the direction of Zalán Zakariás. It is about dreams fulfilment, about the hope of beginning a new life and about how people react to once in a lifetime chances. The naive comedy at the beginning turns into an absurd farce in which the characters turn inside out.
Laughter is the guiding principle of the performance that according to Peter Brook is utterly and generally human and “the greatest gift God gave to man”.
