We are preparing for the last premiere of the season

On 5th May, at 7 p.m. we present Harold Pinter’s Celebration as the last premiere of the season in the direction of Alexandru Dabija, Uniter Prize winning theatre director.

The first direction of Alexandru Dabija at the Tamási Áron Theatre was Ion Luca Caragiale’s Carnival in 2009. This time he has chosen a semi-absurd comedy by Nobel Prize winner Harold Pinter.

Celebration is about some dining people and the staff of a restaurant whose seemingly everyday conversations gradually reveal more and more secrets. Pinter is playful with the language, it is as if we would hear the author through the characters and not the characters themselves.

The performance has a specific Pinterian humour that although touches the boundaries of reality, it stands very close to the Ionescoian absurd. Foremost, it is the actors who are important, through them the world of the absurd where the seemingly illogical values are replaced by perversion and depravity.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the theatre or at https://www.biletmaster.ro/
