Escorial is a modern history drama set in a never existed Middle Ages, full with haze and demons. The story is about the extremely difficult relationship between the king and the jester. In the seclusion of the enormous palace, as the dying queen is agonizing, the two men, ignoring their ranks, face the crisis of their friendship. All this under the burden of the mourning.
