120th Birthday of Áron Tamási

We are celebrating our namesake, Áron Tamási on the 20th September! Born 120 years ago, Áron Tamási’s works, his spirit and intellect have penetrated the company, opening new ways to that contemporary and valid theatre that we represent.

Áron Tamási’s birthday is the perfect opportunity for the people to encounter the writings, his specific humour and sharp dialogues.

The all-day events implicating the whole town will lead to the theatre and to the Freedom square until the evening. At 6 p.m. the actors from the Tamási Áron Theatre will give readings from Áron Tamási’s works in the Chamber Hall, and at 8 p.m. the festive closing event will be the Dresch Quintet’s concert on the main stage.
