The new manager of the Tamási Áron Theatre has started his work

On Monday, 10th November, István Albu took over as director of the Tamási Áron Theatre, being officially presented to the press by Éva Judit Sztakics, deputy mayor of Sfântu Gheorghe.
“István Albu has already worked as stage director at the Tamási Áron Theatre and, being a native of Sfântu Gheorghe, he is practically returning home,” said the deputy mayor. She added that the new director will not have an easy task, as the theatre is about to undergo an extensive renovation process. Even the competition for the position required candidates to propose solutions for managing this transition period.
During the conference, István Albu, former manager at the Figura Studio Theatre in Gheorgheni, spoke about his professional career and his vision for the renovation of this theatre building.
He specified that the current season will be completed according to the plans established by the previous management, but at the same time, preparations are being made to move to alternative premises, where the company will operate starting next season.
Albu emphasized that the theatre in Gheorgheni also went through a similar period during his tenure, and based on that experience, he is convinced that the renovation work will not weaken the cohesion of the company and will not affect the high artistic level through which the Tamási Áron Theatre has formed a community of spectators and has become widely recognized.
