Reflex5 is beginning!

The organisers are making the final preparations for the Reflex5 International Theatre Festival, which will once again turn Sfântu Gheorghe into the theatre centre of the region for a few days. Theatre performances and exciting accompanying events are waiting for the audience, including Uncanny Valley by Rimini Protocol from Berlin, Uncle Vanya by the Small Theatre from Vilnius and the concert.

Reflex Nightlife

As Reflex festival audiences have come to expect, each day ends with a party into the night, this year in the foyer of the Tamási Áron Theatre.

On Friday, 24th, from 23:00, after a concert by Jü, you can dance to the music of Attila Kusztos, a visual artist and graphic designer from Sfântu Gheorghe (FLaCLoSSLeSS), a fine collection of fusion music in jazz, eclectic hip-hop and other assorted genres.

On Saturday 25th, after the audience meeting with Uncle Vanya starting at midnight, Barna (Barna Fazakas), a well-known artist and DJ from Miercurea Ciuc, will get the party-goers dancing with music as diverse as his paintings.

On Sunday, 26th March, a more relaxed musical line-up will be on offer, with a vinyl selection by Tamás Forró Tengrila, event organiser and head of the Sfântu Gheorghe culture pub.

On Monday, 27th March, küb_beat, aka Bence Kónya-Ütő, actor at the Tamási Áron Theatre, will relaunch Nightlife Week with his “energetic and most culture-led music selection”.

On Tuesday, 28th March, the closing day of the first module of Reflex5, there will be a closing party, which the organisers will leave to the algorithm of a music app.

Audience meetings

Of course, there will also be audience meetings, with a discussion with the creators of all three invited theatre productions.  The first audience meeting will take place very late on Saturday night from 24:00 (chaired by theatre writer, journalist and translator Raluca Rădulescu), as the creators of Uncle Vanya from Lithuania will be leaving the next morning. The Uncanny Valley audience meeting will be held after the fifth performance of the Berlin production, on Monday evening at 21:00, with actress Eszter Tompa as host. On Tuesday evening, also at 21:00, Kriston Wojtek from the Polish Institute in Budapest will discuss the Polish production of The Slaughterhouse with the creators.

Everyone is welcome to the first module of Reflex5!
