The Barbarians

The Barbarians

Our theatre presents The Barbarians based on Zsigmond Móricz’s two short stories, The Barbarians and The Last Outlaw on the 30th of May at 7 pm.

The play is directed by Máté Hegymegi, one of the most promising young Hungarian directors of our days. Zsigmond Móricz used a true story when writing his short story entitled The Barbarians. The robbery with murder happened in the Hungarian city of Kecskemét in the 19th century.

It is the first time for the director and his creative team to work in our town. Their artistic credo is based on a new kind of theatrical thinking, where visuality interplays with text, music and movement.
