The Swedish play is about an elder woman’s loneliness and her relationship with her children. A suffocating silence follows all the constant conflicts, shouting, obsessive deeds. Ilse, the heroine became totally alienated from the world due to her sick fantasy and constant nattering. One of her daughters has divorced, the other didn’t even get married, and her son, the successful writer made a name by writing about the vitiated relationship with his mother.
