An Angel Comes to Babylon

The king of Babylon, the great Nebuchadnezzar, dressed as a beggar, works to create a true welfare state. Then an angel descends on Babylon to convey something never heard before and never repeated: he brings heaven’s favour in the form of a maiden. Dressed as a beggar, the lord of the manor cannot understand why the divine gift does not belong to the king, and in his blindness is unable to accept the infinite and unconditional love of the heavenly maiden. While his subjects are in a fever of love for the maiden and are stirring up rebellion against his rule, Nebuchadnezzar is arrogantly at war with God himself.

Please note that we use very strong light effects during the performance!
